Porsche Boxster EV Electric Convertible Sports Car Experience
26 electric convertible cars that youll be able to buy soon [Update]
Update: Porsche 718 Boxster Electric revised.
The convertible body style has always represented the concept of open-top, fun, motoring, and the transition from ICE powertrains does not mean this body style is dead. Rather, here are the electric convertible cars expected on the market in the next few years.
Fiat Topolino
The Fiat Topolino is a mechanical cousin of the Citroen Ami but with a unique exterior feature an opening roof. Moreover, unlike Citroens quadricycle, it has a retro design inspired by the Fiat 500, and it has been named after the same classic car.
The Topolino builds on the notion that urban mobility can be expressive, emotional, stylish, and fun. The electric quadricycle measures just 2.53 m (99.61 in.) in length and has a tiny, 5.4 kWh battery pack that takes less than four hours for a full charge. It has a top speed of 45 km/h (28 mph) and a range of up to 75 km (47 miles).
Price: In Italy, the Fiat Topolinos prices start at EUR 9,890 (USD 10,485).
MINI Cooper SE Convertible
The MINI Cooper SE Convertible (MINI Electric Convertible) is claimed to be the worlds first electric convertible. Theres no word on its U.S. launch, but in Europe, just 999 units are available.
The Cooper SE Convertible features a powered textile soft top that customers can operate at speeds up to 30 km/h. Like on the gas-powered MINI Convertible, customers can keep the roof partly closed in a sunroof mode. The electric convertible offers 160 liters of cargo space behind the rear seats, 51 liters lesser than the (Euro-spec) electric hatchback.
The MINI Electric Convertible has the same, 135 kW (181 hp)/270 Nm (199 lb.-ft.) motor as its donor model. The same goes for the battery pack, which has an energy storage capacity of 32.6 kWh. The electric convertible delivers a WLTP range of 201 km (125 miles), 32 km (20 miles) lesser than the electric hatchback. A 0-62 mph sprint takes 8.2 seconds, which means it is 0.9 seconds slower.
Price: In Germany, the MINI Cooper SE Convertible has been priced at EUR 60,000 (USD 63,609). Production of the new electric roadster has begun.
Caterham electric roadster
A Caterham electric roadster is in the making, previewed by the Caterham EV Seven concept. Officially, theres no word on the release date, but there is hope that the launch will take place as early as 2026.
The EV Seven weighs just under 700 kg (1,543 lbs.). It sports a custom version of Swindon Powertrains HPDE E Axle motor that produces 240 hp and 250 Nm (184 lb.-ft.) of torque. The motor gets its juice from a 40 kWh immersion-cooled battery pack, located in the engine bay and transmission tunnel.
Thanks to the batterys high charging input of 152 kW, the EV Seven is capable of the typical 20-15-20 drive cycle. After driving the car for 20 minutes, the driver can take a charging break of 15 minutes and drive it again for 20 minutes. Caterham is targeting a 0-60 mph time of approximately 4 seconds, and a top speed of 130 mph.
Bentley Continental GTC Electric
The first Bentley EV will be launched in 2025, and it will likely be an SUV or a sedan. Two or three years later, Crewes niche model, the Continental GTC, should go all-electric. A version of Volkswagen Groups Scalable Systems Platform (SSP) is likely to support the Bentley electric convertible.
In an interview with Automotive News Europe released on May 10, 2022, Bentley CEO Adrian Hallmark said that the companys EVs will produce double the power of the Continental GT Speed (and also Continental GTC Speed), which develops 650 hp from a 6.0L W12 engine. This means were looking at up to 1,300 hp for the electric Continental GTC.
The electric model should finish a 0-60 mph sprint in three seconds or lower, which would make it much quicker than the Continental GTC Speed, that does it in 3.5 seconds. However, Bentley is more likely to focus on how the car sprints from 30 mph, with Hallmark stating that most people enjoy acceleration from 30 to 70 mph, or 30 to 150 mph if we talk about customers in Germany.
Launch Date: 2027
Price: $275,000
Wuling Hong Guang MINIEV Cabrio
Among the electric convertible cars from China is the Wuling Hong Guang MINI EV Cabrio. On September 25, 2022, SAIC-GM-Wuling launched the MINI EV Cabrio in a single configuration costing CNY 99,000 (USD 13,760).
The Hong Guang MINI EV Cabrio features an IP68-rated, dustproof, waterproof, and electrically operating soft top roof (available in red and black options), two-tone interior color scheme (available in red + black and white + black options), new two-spoke steering wheel, dual 10-inch screens, and deleted rear seats. Emerald Green, Modern Black, and Sea and Sky Blue are the exterior colors.
The tiny electric convertible employs a motor that produces 30 kW and 110 Nm of torque. It weighs just 925 kg (curb). It can accelerate from 0 to 50 km/h in eight seconds and it has a top speed of 100 km/h. It uses a 26.5 kWh LFP battery pack that delivers a range of 280 km. Charging from 20 to 100% SoC takes 8.5 hours.
In Europe, Dartz has announced its own version of the MINI EV Cabrio, previewing it with the Freze Froggy Beachstar Body concept. It says that the Freze Froggy would be suitable for car sharing and car rental companies as well as sea hotels. Freze Froggy pre-orders have begun, but launch dates and pricing have yet to be revealed. In case you didnt know, Dartz already sells the Wuling Mini EV hatchback as the Freze Nikrob in Europe.
Price: Priced at CNY 99,000 (USD 13,760) in China
MG Cyberster
While far less dramatic than the concept car unveiled at the 2021 Shanghai Auto Show, the production MG Cyberster is quite radical in terms of technology.
The Cyberster comes with unique radiation symbol-inspired headlamps, electrically-folding soft top, scissor doors, and full-width tail lights with Union Jack-inspired long arrows. The interior is a class apart, with a gaming cockpit that looks far more advanced than its competitors. It features three screens clubbed like gaming monitors and a steering yoke that allows an unobstructed view of the screens and the road ahead. The UK-spec version may have a different setup with regular steering, though.
The dealer-bound Cyberster is 4,535 mm (178.5 in.)long, 1,913 mm (75.3 in.) wide, and 1,329 mm (52.3 in.)tall and has a 2,690 mm (105.9 in.) wheelbase. It should come in at least three variants, one with a 231 kW (310 hp) rear motor, one with a 250 kW (335 hp) rear motor, and one with a combination of a 150 kW (201 hp) front motor and a 250 kW (335 hp) rear motor, as per MIIT data. The electric roadster should have a top speed of 200 km/h (124 mph).
Reports say customers may get to choose between 64 kWh and 77 kWh (gross) battery packs, with the latter delivering a WLTP range of 330 miles. In an interview with Yiche, Lu Jiajun, General Manager MG, SAIC (passenger vehicle), revealed that the Cyberster will go on sale in the UK in April or May 2024.
Launch Date: April/May 2024 (UK)
Price: Expected to be over $62,000
Neta GT Speedster
Introduced at Auto Shanghai 2023, the Neta GT Speedster is the open-top version of the Neta GT, from Chinese manufacturer Hozon Auto. The electric roadster looks more stylish than the electric coupe, thanks to a new Matt black paint, gold/black surrounds, exclusive underbody parts, and black wheels with a gold stripe. The electric roadster sports a trendy appearance with bright orange in the interior. The open-top EV offers electronically controlled helmet storage behind the rear seats.
Hozon Auto is yet to reveal the specifications, launch timeline, and prices of the Neta GT Speedster. Reports say the electric roadster will be launched in available in two variants in Q3 2023 (July-September 2023): single-motor RWD and dual-motor AWD.
The base variant produces 170 kW (228 hp) and 310 Nm (229 lb.-ft.) of torque, while the top-end variant develops 340 kW (456 hp) and 620 Nm (457 lb.-ft.) of torque. The former will deliver a range of 580 km (361 miles) or 660 km (410 miles) at launch, while the latter will travel up to 580 km (360 miles), suggests a report Autohome released on April 17, 2023.
Well update this section as soon as information on either of those aspects becomes available.
New Tesla Roadster
Highly anticipated among electric convertible cars is the Tesla Roadster, with Elon Musk stating in June 2021 that the company had ideas to further increase torque and maximum rpm for the Roadster, indicating that new performance milestones will be achieved for a production car. The SpaceX package for the Roadster could see 60 mph come up in 1.1 seconds. However, it is anyones guess how much further the Roadster production will be delayed due to supply chain issues, which have already delayed the Tesla Cybertruck and slowed deliveries of the 2022 Tesla Model X.
Products like the Model X and Cybertruck (where Tesla can make significant profits) are essential for projects like the Roadster, which consumes a high level of resources for development and production.
During Teslas annual shareholder meeting on May 16, 2023, Musk disclosed that the release of the Roadster has faced another delay, pushing its launch to 2024. Moreover, he suggested starting production even in 2024 is a difficult target to achieve. This is not a commitment, but hopefully the production will start next year, he said.
Launch Date: 2024 or 2025
Price: From $200,000
Abarth 500 Electric Cabrio
The Abarth 500e comes exclusively with a 42 kWh battery pack and can achieve a WLTP range of up to 164 miles. Thats a terribly low range, but the impetus is on driving thrill.
The new Abarth 500es motor generates 113.7 kW (152 hp) and 235 Nm (173 lb.-ft.) of torque. The driver can select from three driving modes Turismo, Scorpion Street, and Scorpion Track. The Turismo mode reduces the power and torque to 100 kW (134 hp) and 220 Nm (162 lb.-ft.), respectively, for improved efficiency. A 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint in the tiny electric hot hatch takes just 7 seconds. The top speed has been electronically limited to 155 km/h (96 mph).
AC charging (0-100% SoC) takes 15 hours 15 minutes (3 kW)/3 hours 15 minutes (11 kW) and DC charging (0-80% SoC) takes 35 minutes. In the UK, customers can choose from the all-new Acid Green and Poison Blue exclusive colors, as well as the Antidote White, Venom Black, and Adrenaline Red colors. Order books for the Abarth electric cabrio are open.
Launch Date: 2023

Maserati GranCabrio Folgore (GranCabrio Electric)
Announcing its 2021 results and electrification plan on March 17, 2022, the brand with the trident revealed plans to launch the GranCabrio EV as the Maserati GranCabrio Folgore in 2023.
The GranCabrio Folgore, like the GranTurismo Folgore, should sport three 300 kW (402 hp) permanent magnet motors two for the rear wheels and one for the front wheel that produce a combined power of 560 kW (751 hp) and a total torque of 1,350 Nm (996 lb.-ft.). A 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint may take around 2.7 seconds, and the top speed could be 320 km/h (199 mph).
An 83 kWh (usable) battery pack operating at 800 volts, double the normal voltage, would power the motors. 22 kW (AC)/270 kW (DC) will likely be the maximum rate supported for charging. With the latter, up to 100 km (62 miles) can be gained in 5 minutes.
In an announcement on October 25, 2022, Maserati revealed that the next-gen GranCabrio is undergoing testing for final tuning ahead of the launch. The company also released a teaser that showed a camouflaged prototype of the EV convertible.
Launch Date/Availability: 2023
Price: From $140,000 (estimated)
GMC Hummer EV pickup
What is the GMC Hummer EV doing in a list of electric convertible cars, you ask? Well, when the four rectangle-tinted Lexan panels are removed from the roof, the Hummer EV is as open-top as a convertible can get! Better still, owners can choose to remove the individual panels in any combination, and once uninstalled, and they can be accommodated in the frunk in vinyl bags or foam boxes.
And until the Tesla Roadster and MG Cyberster are out, if you want a fast electric convertible car, look no further than the Hummer EV as it claims 3 seconds for the 0-60 mph sprint using the Watts to Freedom feature.
Release Date: Deliveries are currently underway. The company has temporarily closed reservations.
Price: Currently at $110,295 though future versions will see the price dropping to $84,650.
Polestar 6
The Polestar 6 will be the production version of the Polestar O concept unveiled in March 2022. It will be a hard-top electric roadster sitting on a bespoke bonded aluminum platform adapted from the 5. It will borrow the electric sedans 800-volt battery pack as well. The top-end configuration will sport two motors that generate a combined power of 650 kW (871 hp) and a combined torque of 900 Nm (664 lb.-ft.). Polestar expects a 0-62 mph sprint to take 3.2 seconds and the top speed to be 155 mph in this configuration.
Release Date & Price: Polestar 6 reservations opened exclusively for a USD 200,000-launch edition called LA Concept on August 16, 2022. Polestar had just 500 units of the first edition on offer, and they were all spoken for in a week. Deliveries will begin at the end of 2026.
Fisker Ocean
The Fisker Ocean might feel like the odd man out in this list of convertibles. But its not because it has the soul of a convertible. At the press of a button, eight glass panels on the Ocean retract to give customers the feeling of a convertible. Fisker calls it the California Mode, which rolls all windows down, including the rear quarter glass, rear windscreen, and the sunroof, that doubles up as a solar panel.
Fisker calls the rear quarter glass the rear windscreen the Doggie Window, hinting that pets seated at the rear can enjoy the breeze thanks to the retractable nature of the windows. There are more innovative features inside the Ocean. On the top variants, the massive touchscreen inside can rotate into portrait or horizontal modes.
The Ocean is available in Sport, Ultra, Extreme, and One variants. However, only the Extreme and One variants complete specifications have been confirmed. Both are AWD variants with a twin-motor powertrain producing 468 hp (564 hp with Boost) and 514 lb.-ft. (543 lb.-ft. with Boost) of torque. A 106 kWh (net) battery pack supplies energy to these motors and provides an EPA-est. range of 360 miles.
Release date: Deliveries of the Ocean are underway in Europe and the U.S. Fisker plans to deliver all 5,000 launch edition (One) units by September 2023.
Price: $37,499 to $68,999
Audi electric convertible
Audis open-top model line-up, which currently includes the TT Roadster, A5 Convertible, and R8 Spyder, will see the addition of an EV this decade. According to a report from German news agency dpa (via Suddeutsche Zeitung), Volkswagen Group is considering to increase the capacity utilization of the Volkswagen Osnabruck plant with electric convertible cars.
Former VW Group CEO Dr. Herbert Diess had suggested that the company is considering making Volkswagens underutilized vehicle factory a niche convertible location. He has said that both Volkswagen and Audi are mulling over the launch of an electric convertible.
In February 2022, Dr. Diess held an AMA session on Reddit. During the Reddit AMA, user linknewtab asked him about the progress of the VW ID.3 Cabriolet. Working on a new idea, the CEO responded, hinting that a different electric convertible (from the Volkswagen brand) is under consideration now. This model and the Audi electric convertible will likely be technical cousins.
Wiesmann Project Thunderball
The Wiesmann Project Thunderball is the brands first electric car. The German sports car maker has built the electric roadster on an aluminum spaceframe chassis and installed an 83 kWh battery pack operating at 800 volts in it. Two rear-mounted motors source energy from the battery pack and power the rear wheels. The motors produce 500 kW (670 hp) of combined power and 1,100 Nm (811 lb.-ft.) of combined torque.
The Thunderball is 4,440 mm (174.8 in.) long, 2,210 mm (87.0 in.) wide (incl. mirrors), and 1,285 mm (50.6 in.) tall and has a 2,595 mm (102.2 in.) wheelbase. It has a curb weight of 1,775 kg (3,913 lbs.) and a front/rear weight distribution ratio of 48:52.
The Thunderball accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds, and its targeted range is 500 km or 311 miles (presumably as per WLTP) on a full charge. Thanks to an 800-volt system voltage, its possible to charge the car at up to 300 kW. Fast-charging the battery pack from 0 to 80% SoC on direct current takes less than half an hour. A 22 kW onboard charger allows fast charging on alternating current at home.
Production will take place at the companys existing factory in Dulmen, Germany. All build slots for the first production year 2024 have been called for.
Release Date: 2024
Price: The Project Thunderball has a starting price of EUR 300,000 (USD 318,045). It is available to reserve with a deposit of EUR 3,000 (USD 3,180).
Mercedes-AMG electric convertible
Mercedes-AMGs electric vehicle line-up is likely to include a convertible, Mercedes-Benz Group CTO Markus Schfer has suggested. Speaking to TopGear in September 2021, Schfer said that building a good-looking electric convertible is not easy and the demand for roadsters and convertibles is falling, but such a model could be an attractive product, an emotional one that builds the brand. The company has to start thinking and engineer an EV in the form of a roadster, the CTO said. Mercedes-AMG will definitely think about a (zero-emission) cabriolet as well, he added.
Release date: Expected in 2026
Price: Upwards of $200,000
Chevrolet Corvette electric convertible
On April 25, 2022, General Motors confirmed the Chevrolet Corvette electric (all-electric) version via its Twitter handle. The company didnt offer details but said that the zero-emission model would follow the hybrid version.
A Chevrolet Corvette electric convertible is almost certain to be a part of the new family, as it is a popular body style choice for Corvette customers. Harlan Charles, the Corvettes product manager, gave a presentation at the National Corvette Museum during the Whats New with Corvette seminar (NCM Bash held between April 28-30, 2022), as reported by CorvetteBlogger.com.
The 2022 Options slide of his presentation confirmed that 48% of the Corvette C8 units produced of the MY2022 (as of April 4, 2022) were convertibles. Harlan promptly noted that Convertibles havent accounted for such a high percentage of Corvette production since the 1968 model year! According to a report Autocar published in March 2022, the Corvette convertible is one of the best-selling convertibles in history, alongside names like the Mazda MX-5 and MGB Roadster.
Release date: Expected after 2025
Price: Upwards of $100,000
Fisker Project Ronin
Following the Ocean and the Pear, Fisker plans to launch a four-seater sports GT called Ronin. The striking four-door electric convertible seats five and functions as a sports sedan when its roof is lowered. It features four butterfly doors (front-hinged front and rear-hinged rear) that can be opened using a smartphone and a carbon-fiber hardtop that can be smartphone activated and automatically retracted into the trunk.
The Fisker Ronin is built on a unique aluminum spaceframe. It sports a triple-motor all-wheel drive powertrain, officially expected to produce a colossal 1,000-plus horsepower. A 0-60 mph sprint is projected to take just approximately 2 seconds. Fisker hasnt disclosed the Ronins energy storage capacity, but it has confirmed that the battery cells are part of the cars structure and are expected to deliver an impressive range of 600 miles.
The Ronin features carbon-fiber 23-inch wheels, a 17.1-inch high-res touchscreen, a front trunk (frunk), and much more. Fisker will build just 999 units of the electric super GT convertible, priced at a whopping USD 385,000! The company expects to start its production in the second half of 2025.
Interested customers can make a reservation with a deposit of USD 2,000 today, and theyll need to put down an additional USD 1,000 later. The second deposit will be fully refundable.
Release date: 2025
Price: $385,000
Maserati MC20 Cielo Folgore
The Maserati MC20 Cielo Folgore will be the brands first electric convertible supercar. Maserati Vehicle Line Executive Federico Landini has revealed to Auto Express that an MC20 electric is in the pipeline, and it will debut as a Cielo or a convertible. A coupe version will arrive at a later stage.
The electric variant of the MC20 Cielo may have subtle exterior changes, such as a closed front grille with shiny vertical slats that look richer, redesigned front bumper, modified rear air intakes, and masked wheels, as reflected in our render (above).
The MC20 Cielo Folgore will sport the same tri-motor powertrain as the GranTurismo Folgore, although the tuning could be significantly different. Two individual motors would propel each rear wheel, and the front wheels would share a less potent motor, creating an e-AWD layout. The MC20 electric convertible should draw over 560 kW (751 hp) and 1,350 Nm (996 lb.-ft.) from these motors. Expect a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration time of around two seconds and a top speed of over 320 km/h (199 mph) with this setup.
Release date: 2024
Price: $250,000+
Porsche 718 Boxster Electric
The Porsche 718 Boxster EV program has been approved, and its heading to dealerships by the middle of the decade. Porsche informed investors in the prospectus for its IPO on September 19, 2022, that it is investing in the Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen plant in preparation for the launch of the 718 Boxster Electric. Photos of the electric roadsters test mules have made rounds on the web several times.
The 718 Boxster Electric appears to have a longer wheelbase, which could be an essential upgrade over the gas-powered current Boxster to clear up room for a battery pack similar to the Porsche Mission Rs 82 kWh unit. It has charging ports in the middle of the rear bumper and even in the front trunk. Making the 718 Boxster Electric super-quick and extremely fast would mean shoving in an extra motor and maybe even more batteries to ensure a decent range. That could make the car too heavy, so Porsche may employ just one motor and focus on perfecting lightweight, rear-wheel drive fun instead.
The electric convertible will have a suitable range, but the impetus appears to be about keeping the weight in check of the 718 EV, as per Frank Moser, Vice President Model Lines 911 and 718, who spoke to The Drive.
Release date: 2025
Price: $85,000
Rolls-Royce Spectre Convertible
A zero-emissions open-top Rolls-Royce isnt wild speculation! The Spectre is the spiritual successor to the Phantom Coup, which had a convertible sibling, the Phantom DropheadCoup. Thus, Rolls-Royce should introduce a convertible version of the Spectre in the coming years to fill the whitespace. With the departure of the smaller Dawn, the Rolls-Royce lineup currently lacks a convertible model, making it all the more compelling for the company to introduce a Spectre convertible in the foreseeable future.
The Rolls-Royce Spectre Convertible should have nearly the same dimensions as the coupe, which is 214.7 in. long, 81.9 in. wide, and 61.4 in. tall. A long tail treatment could be technically possible, but Rolls-Royce may save the tricks for a dramatic special edition or a future one-off. With a curb weight of 2,975 kg (6,559 lbs.), the Spectre is noticeably heavy, and the Convertible will likely be heavier from the roofs folding mechanism and the added structural reinforcements.
The Spectre Convertible should share the same powertrain, generating 430 kW (576 hp) and 900 Nm (664 lb.-ft.) of torque. A 0-60 mph sprint could take around 4.5 seconds. The battery pack will likely be repurposed, but while the Spectre has a WLTP range of 323 miles (preliminary), the Spectre Convertibles WLTP range could be around 310 miles due to its weight and aero compromises.
Release Date: By 2025
Price: $425,000

Genesis Electric Convertible
First revealed as a concept in California, USA, on November 16, 2022, the Genesis X Convertible will go into production, as reported by Automotive News on January 22, 2023. Peter Lanzavecchia, Chairman of the Genesis National Dealer Advisory Council, cited Genesis Chief Creative Officer Luc Donckerwolke for the purported confirmation, which he said took place at the brands annual meeting and in the presence of hundreds of Genesis dealers, Automotive News reported.
Donckerwolke told Australian media that theres plenty of demand for the X Convertible, X Concept, and X Speedium Coupe, CarExpert reported on April 4, 2023. He confirmed production versions of the emotional show cars are under consideration, stating that its not a question of feasibility, its just a matter of a business case. It may take longer than usual for the X family to reach the market since he does not want to simplify the design of the production vehicle.
Genesis is also likely to equip its range-topping electric convertible with the stylish hardtop roof with integrated glass panes first seen in the concept, along with a thoroughly modern interior featuring sustainable materials, fully-digital displays, wireless smartphone connectivity, LED ambient lighting, and possibly even Augmented Reality navigation.
Release Date: Expected to reach the U.S. market mid-decade.
Price: Estimated to cost between USD 200,000-300,000.
Alpine electric roadster
Alpine has confirmed that its future 7-model EV line-up will include an electric roadster derived from the next-gen A110, which will sit on the Alpine Performance Platform (APP). It says APP is flexible, so its length and width can be changed as needed.
According to a report Automotive News Europe released on July 13, 2023, Alpine has told investors and journalists that APP will be a bonded aluminum chassis. Thus, the Alpine electric roadster will have a construction similar to its fancy Sino-Swedish rival the Polestar 6.
Alpine also revealed the specifics of APPs flexibility during the conversation with investors and journalists, saying its possible to increase the length by up to 420 mm and the track width by 80 mm. APP-based EVs will measure 4,300-4,850 mm in length and 1,300-1,550 mm in width. They will have 77-100 kWh battery packs operating at 800 volts and powertrains generating 250-500 kW.
The Alpine electric roadster could debut in 2027, just a few months after Alpine A110 EV deliveries begin.
Alfa Romeo 4E
An Alfa Romeo 4C Spider successor called Alfa Romeo 4E could be released after 2027, as per a report Autocar published on September 27, 2023. Alfa Romeo product chief Daniel Guzzafame told Autocar at the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale launch that the Spider is something that the company doesnt kill, and wants to continue it.
Autocar claims that the 4Es design cues will be heavily inspired by the 33 Stradale, and Guzzafame has confirmed that it could have hints of the Duetto Spider as well. Based on the STLA Medium platform, which we know is not an EV-exclusive platform, the new electric roadster could have a 0-62 mph acceleration time of 2.0 seconds, add up to 20 miles of range per minute at the charging station, and deliver a range (presumably WLTP) of more than 500 miles.
Guzzafame suggested that Spider is at the heart of the Alfa Romeo brand, and that the company is stable enough and has the right basis to release a new one. However, that doesnt mean the electric roadster, possibly called Alfa Romeo 4E (E for Electric) will be released next year. The product boss said that such a model will be within reach after the company has launched its first five EVs, set to be completed in 2027.
